Qingyun Mountain

Qingyun Mountain is a national AAAA scenic zone and national key scenic resort, it is about 13 kilometers from Yongtai County and 75 kilometers from Fuzhou City. The scenic spot is covered with high mountains and luxuriant forests, with faintly recognizable clouds and fogs. There are many unique rocks and profound valleys with blue springs and flying waterfall as well. Qingyun Mountain scenic zone encompasses 9 mountains which stretch a kilometer into the sky and 9 rivers flowing through deep canyons as well as Cliffs, valleys, waterfalls and springs which are all available for exploration by visitors.

Qingyun Mountain covers a planned area of 52.5 square kilometers and is distributed with 7 1000- kilometer tall peaks and 9 canyons & rivers. The most famoust of the natural spots on Qingyun Mountain include the Jiutian Waterfall Water Curtain Palace (Shuiliangong), it is Asia's biggest step-waterfall.

Yuntian Stone Corridor, which is the highest stone corridor in the Fujian Province, with exceptional views over the surrounding mountain scenery. The corridor is at the Peak of Qingyun Mountain and stretches over a thousand meters along three hills and a steep canyon. It is known as the "impossible passage'': over 7 meters wide in places, it shrinks to less than one meter on some stretches of its winding path. The main spots which can be seen from the corridor include Jisheng Lake, the Longevity Lake, Lingzhi Rock and the fancifully-named ''scholar drying boots.''

Qingyun Mountain is located in the tropical zone of Central Asia. Featuring a warm climate and diversified forest plants, the mountain grows 183 families, 667 genus and 1,295 species, including thousands of plant species under first-class state protection .
