Getting Around Xiamen
During visiting Xiamen, you can always rely on its efficient public transporation system. Buses and ferries will take Xiamen traveler to the most popular places in the city and its neighborhoods.
By Bus
Bus Transport in Xiamen is well developed and considered convenient by majority of tourists. Nearly two hundred bus lines will be almost 300 stops around the city. Ferry Dock, Xiamen University, railway station, Pearl bay, Xiamen Airport, Huicheng Business Center are the most popular spots.
In addition, a special tourist bus route is also available. From the Ferry Dock, bus passes through Xiamen and includes many famous tourist attractions, and only costs CNY1 per person. Bus pathway is:

By Taxi
Taxis are also a good choice when get tour around Xiamen. The city's large number of taxis are more convenient and affordable than some other hot tourist destinations. A Xiamen taxi charges CNY8 for the first three kilometers (about 1.9 miles), and CNY2 for the next five kilometers (about 3.1 miles) plus 50% extra for each additional kilometer. About CNY 20 may be enough to getting around Xiamen city center.
By Ferry
Ferry will take travelers to Gulangyu Island, the most popular destinations in Xiamen, and it is the forth largest island in Fujian. With wonderful sea scenery and charming small islets around, ferryboat is an excellent way to enjoy the panorama. Ferry service is quite frequent, if you miss a ferry in a few minutes you'll get on board the next. It takes only five minutes and costs CNY8 per person for a round trip. The first departure from Xiamen Island is at 05:45. Ferries also provide service to Jimei, Haicang, Haideng, Zengying and some other popular destinations.
