Fuqing Economy
Fuqing has forest coverage area of 47%, with bamboo stock 1.165 millions cubic. Fuqing urban area are mainly hilly, and has an area which is potential pasture about 5,000 hectares.
Surrounded by sea and has many rivers flows around Fuqing, making it suitable to develop hydropower-plant. Theoretical potential hydropower resources 24.1 thousand kilowatts, 14.2 thousand kilowatts can be developed.
Fuqing also has some mining deposits such as granite, pyrophyllite, kaolin, quartz sand, iron ore, peat, and iron.
