Zhiti Mountain
Zhiti Mountain is a provincial-level scenic area, which is located 40 kilometers northwest of Ningde City. With more than 700 meters above sea level high, and covers an area of 100 square kilometers, Zhiti mountain has fascinating peaks in different shapes and multitudes of temples and caves. Zhiti Mountain is popular with the reputation "the First Mountain of East Fujian" and "home of Buddha" as many temple around the mountain.
The most attractive sight is Huayan Temple, also known as Huazang Temple, was built during the Song Dynasty (AD 960-1279). Huayan Temple surround by majestic evergreen, made a grandeur scenery of peaceful temple. Huayan Temple counts as important Buddhist Temple in China, with thousands Buddha sculptures and relics.
