Fugai Mountain
Fugai Mountain lying in Pucheng County, about 3.5 kilometers south of the city, it is one of many attractive natural landscapes in Nanping. Besides the ancient path, impressive passes, elegant bridges, streams, simple farmhouses and zig-zag lines, are the majestic scenery of Fugai Mountain.
Fugai (Floating Cover) Mountain with its steep cliffs, grotesque and gigantic rocks and fascinating landscape invites you to countless adventurous tourists. The granite relief of the mountain is the result of a distortion within the crust. Countless centuries of the movement have shaped the mountain into a grotesque attraction.
Known as "Little Huangshan Mountain", Fugai Mountain covers an area of 10 square kilometers, with highest peak about 1140 meters. From a distance view, it looks like a dragon with its tail and head northwest to the southeast, across Zhejiang, Fujian and Jianxi provinces. Xu Xiake (1587-1641), famous traveler and geographer of the Ming dynasty, visited the mountain three times in tour all the sights and views, such as the Lotus Cave, Bat Cave, Gauze-Hat Stone and Checkerboard Stone. He even made a book about his impressions in an article titled record the visit Fugai Mountain, where he turned the corner as a place of great attraction. At the west of main peak, there is ancient place called Dayun Temple, was built during the Song Dynasty.
